6.20.12 Texas Anniversary pt1

So as of today I have been back in Texas for 1 year. It doesn't feel like that much time has passed.
Today I took all the paper work up to ACC that I needed to get residency status. It was looking a little cloudy but it normally doesn't mean that it is going to rain around here especially in the summertime. I got to the school and took all the paperwork to the admissions counter and I spoke to a different person. She was really nice but after looking at the papers she told me that I was missing a date on the one that was from my boss stating my employment history. So she said I had to have that taken care of before she could do anything, UGH! There is always something! I left there a bit upset but ready to run by work to get it taken care of. As I was walking outside it started to rain. Oh geez! I still had all the paperwork with me. So I ran to the car but alas, I have a Jeep and it started raining harder. I shoved the papers into the glovebox hoping it was dry enough in there and I drove off. At this point I was just going to go home. It was lunch rush at the restaurant and I was feeling defeated but I realized that if I were to head in the direction of home I would be following the storm and if I headed to work I would be skirting it and it would probably pass me up (I can be a genius every once in a while.) My Jeep has a net top on it. It filters the sun through nicely but it also equally disperses the rain all over everything. So by the time I made it to work I was soaked through.
My boss said he could fix it real quick so I waited. The storm as I predicted had moved on so by the time I was heading back to the school it was dry out. I made it back to the same window to talk to the same woman and she looked at it and gave the look of Oh Crap. The paper was corrected but had not been signed. I thought I was gonna lose it. But she told me that she should have seen it before and she would just call and verify to make sure it was done by him. Phew!

What a way to start the day. Because of the storm, it was a lot cooler outside so I decided to take the pups on another outing.
