5.14.12 First Day of Summer! (For me anyway)

Started off on the right foot today and got a bunch of stuff done around the house. Then Kyleigh and I took off for Turkey Creek. We had to make a stop at Taco Cabana for a quick bite and then we headed out.
Turkey Creek is approximately 25 miles from Round Rock near Emma Long and it is an off leash hiking trail. This is one of our most favorite trails because it crosses the creek multiple times. Kyleigh loves splashing around in the water.

 I met a nice girl named Linda and her two dogs Dolly and Gypsy. Dolly is a pit mix and Gypsy is a choc lab. We had a great time talking while the dogs played and the water was at a decent level because of all the rain. Before we knew it we were done and it didn't seem like we did a 2 mile hike.
Back at the Trail head Gypsy and Ky had a game of tug-of-war with a stick. It was tough to get a pic of all three dogs at the same time.

In my conversation with Linda I learned that she has lived in California, Colorado and Peru. She works at a wine bar on 7th and I-35. I think it is Uncorked Tasting Room. Sounded like a neat place that I will need to check out in the future!
