5.27.13 We had a meeting and decided to have our trainer outing kayaking on Townlake. We met up at Chang's and then headed over to the lake. It was Alex, TJ, Chef Gary, Mandy, Minia, Me, Cara, Kenny and Brooke. We used the company that is over on Barton Creek. Mandy and Cara brought Gizmo and Pepper. I would have brought Ky but she would have slowed everyone down wanting to get in and out of the kayak. We met up with Chef Gary who brought his own kayak with him. We had some confusion on whether we were doing canoes or kayaks but soon got that straightened out. Alex and TJ rode in the canoe with all the snacks that Alex had brought for everyone. We kayaked until we reached a shallow area ( I can't remember where exactly we were on the lake but it was by a small tree island. ) We all waded around the canoe and ate some really great snacks. Gizmo decided that Chef Gary was her new best friend. We hung out for a wile until someone notice that there were baby leeches all over their feet and then we all kind of freaked out. We rode some more then decided to head back. I tried to take some under water photos of the hydrilla and a turtle. We lazed around the free side of Barton Springs for a while and then went to turn our boats in. I almost left my camera behind. Afterwards we went to the park and got snocones. I wish we had more trainer outings because this was a lot of fun.
