Paula. one of our neighbor around the block. threw a Summer Solstice party. We all put on our Hawaiian shirts and Leis for the Hawaiian themed shindig. Because we live kind of close we took off to her house with Manny by way of the field. The dogs were upset that they were not invited. We saw many beautiful flowers along the way.
Paula's house was decorated with everything including a tiki bar that she had got off craigslist and a kayak filled with ice and bottled water. We helped her put some of the other decorations up. Manny had trouble with a palm tree.
There were Mai Tais and some fabulously tasty pina coladas. We snacked on snacks which included macadamia nuts, grapes and chips. There was a neighbor there that had brought her own active volcano.
The best part of the party was the roasted pig. It was very yummy. Xander wanted to stick his finger up it nose which was kind of funny. I had a great time and it gave me some ideas for future parties of my own.
