9:17 Whu huh---something's buzzing. My phone? Message from my boss to confirm that someone else is working my shift this morning. Cool oh wait...what time is it? Now I have to get up and go to the Commitment 5k.
9:25ish Let my roommate know I am back on for the 5K. She isn't sure I will make it there on time.
9:30 dressed and trying to get out the door. Wait I don't know where this thing is being held. Check the computer-Palmer Events Center.
9:33 Grabbed some water and cash and head out the door. Sorry Ky not right now I will take you somewhere later.
9:34 Bright happy sunshine. Dang I need my sunglasses... Back inside.
9:36 Hmm should I take more money? Not sure how much it costs and I will probably have to pay for parking. Head back out the the car.
9:37 Dang forgot glasses... Oh well gotta get going. Where's the armband for my phone it is normally in the car. Ugh! oh well I will just have to carry my phone.
9:49 missed the turn to the drive for the event center have to do a U-turn. Jeez is this light gonna take forever.
9:52 Ok yes $7 to park to attend a 5k. I gotta go... parking...where to park. Why couldn't they have left me a space close to the bottom. Ok 2nd floor not too bad. I hope I have everything.
9:54 This isn't registration. Geez I have to cut across all the runners to get to registration. I hope I make it in time.
9:56 Star Spangled Banner... I am almost outta time. what do I do if this thing starts and I haven't registered yet...Wait to get to the front of the line. What you aren't the person I need to talk to....Ok Red shirt name Dan..... insert lame comment by me about not registering beforehand -What do I need to do to get registered?
9:58 I have to fill out an online form? You gotta be kidding me...I can't just pay and go? Ok ok what the heck is my phone number...... hurry number yes, safety pins yes....um shirt? Can I please have my shirt (I paid $45 dollars for the shirt and to walk the race-I want the shirt)

Do I have everything 4.....Geez I have to try and get this number on while juggling my shirt, keys cell phone and ear buds....3Why can't I ever get these numbers on straight .....2 Wait I am not ready......1 and there off-----you try walking and trying to do this. don't drop your phone.... number is finally on....now if I could only get Zombie, run to work...... I am falling behind and people are now trying to run me over yeah!
This is a normal situation in my poor time management filled life.
Fortunately I did well and got there just in time to do the race. I wish I had brought Ky because there were other dogs there and it wasn't so crowed but we would have never made it on time.
My time ended up being 51 minutes ish which is not too bad. I haven't been exercising much lately so I didn't jog as much as I usually do. I hope to improve my time as the New Year progresses.
As far as New Year's resolutions....I am going to steal the new verizon? slogan....I want to Do More this year. I think it isn't as much about quantity as quality. My roommate pointed out that I already DO a lot. But I think I want more quality in my life. I want to Do more with friends & family, Do more to improve my health, Do more to spend time with Kyeigh.
