One of my favorite restaurants in the area is
Cypress Grill. During the crawdad season they serve pounds of this delectable critter on Tuesdays til they run out. You have to get there kind of early to get a seat because all of the older folk are already there. It has been a while(since while I am writing this it is already November)but I seem to recall they had 2 sizes that you could purchase: 1 lb and 3 lbs. They also come with spicy potatoes and corn. Now if you are from the south you know that these mudbugs are very popular when they are in season and just about everyone down here throws some sort of crawfish boil at one time or another. If you have never had crawfish before you are not only missing out on the delicious tiny morsel of meat that is within the tail of this miniature crustacean but also the tedious task of retrieving said morsel from the tiny tail. It is a lot of fun and in my opinion-totally worth it.
